Astoria Police seek information regarding early morning robbery

On 11/12/2018 at about 1:36 A.M. Astoria Police received a report that a man had just been robbed by two male subjects.  Officers contacted the victim and learned that he was walking in the area of 7th and Marine Dr. when he was approached by two male subjects.  One suspect engaged the victim in conversation,  initially asking for a cigarette and marijuana.  When the man told them he had neither. The second suspect pushed the man to the ground and took his wallet, removed an undisclosed amount of cash and threw the wallet to the ground.  No  weapons were used during the robbery.

Astoria Police were assisted at the scene by Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 unit but the suspects were not located.

The suspects are described as white males in their mid-twenties.  One suspect was wearing a blue “Levi” jacket with a white wool collar and a black baseball hat.  The other suspect was described as wearing a black jacket and had light colored hair with a crew cut. Both suspects fled South on 7th Street.
