On 06/10/2018 at 9:59 p.m. Astoria Officers were dispatched to the Chart Room in the 1100 Block of Marine Drive following a report that a robbery had just occurred.  Upon arrival it was reported that 22 year old Jay Robert Roosma pulled a knife on 21 Year old Joseph Barnett in the bathroom, assaulted him and demanded money.  During the incident the victim sustained a cut to his thumb.  Roosma was located about two blocks from the scene about 4 minutes after the initial report.  Roosma was arrested without incident for charges including Robbery I, Assault II, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon with Intent to Use, Menacing, Coercion and Theft III.  Roosma was transported to the Clatsop County Jail where he remains lodged.
